Thermodynamics of Metal RNA interactions
RNA structures are formed when a single-strand folds upon itself. The rules for secondary and tertiary structure formation in RNA are still being investigated. Our lab is mainly interested in understanding the role metal ions play in RNA stability. This will allow us to develop better RNA structure prediction models, especially as the genomic information becomes available on new organism.
